ABOUT KYLE
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Kyle Golden, a.k.a. That Veg Guy.
Where to begin? My journey into plant-based eating started in middle school with a simple assignment to research my favorite animal then—whales. While studying these magnificent creatures, I discovered disturbing information about the whaling industry, which led me to explore animal rights and veganism.
Though I had an on-and-off relationship with animal products after that, I completely gave up red meat from middle school onward. My journey continued until 2017, when my partner and I watched a health documentary that changed everything. We decided right then to commit to a plant-based lifestyle—for our health, for the animals (the conditions in our food system are truly shocking), and for our planet. In 2018, I became certified as a plant-based nutritionist.
As a personal trainer, coach, and health enthusiast throughout my career, I've discovered my true passion: showing others how amazing it is to be a plant-based guy. It's not just about health—being plant-based is genuinely fun, and I love sharing that energy with my clients and followers.
Living in Texas, I understand firsthand the cultural expectations and how deeply meat consumption is tied to masculinity. I'm here to challenge that mindset and forge a new path. My unique experience and skill set make me especially suited to guide male clients who are either plant-based or exploring reducetarianism or flexitarianism.
I love exploring vegan restaurants and fine dining, enjoying wine, tending to my garden, and traveling to discover new flavors. I'm also proud to serve on the board of a nonprofit in Austin, TX—House Rabbit Resource Network—a shelter organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming domestic pet rabbits.
Join me and let me be your guide to show you how life is better livin' on the veg!
